The Decision
Modernizing the power plant is one of the most exciting transformation of the Trophy Defender.
BUILD PROGRAM
Our in-house services, anchored around essential craftsman, make us different.
We have deep bench experience in: sourcing, engineering/mechanical, body/paint, electrics, fabrication and upholstery...
building confidence with over 100 years combined work life experience.
Finding these Defenders from across the world is job 1.
Then we import them into the United States. Finally
we get DMV VIN and safety checks - moving them from gray market ROW(rest of the world) to legal registered US Defenders. This is a complex process and a critical first step in the Trophy program.
We begin with our commitment to modernizing the chassis.
The foundation is a new frame galvanized and powder
coated. Each build features a combination of high performance brakes, suspension, and axel / differentials calibrated to match your drive train.
Our approach here is to
respect the traditions but
let the old parts go.
We replace almost everything - the tub, doors, wings and, bonnet. We paint two stage with Glasurit products - painting "both sides" of the body panel to prepare for the truck that can go anywhere.
We work primarily in the
custom /bespoke world of interiors.
In our experience, an all custom leather interior really enhances the impact of the build. We strengthen our internal upholstery team with best in class partnerships to build interiors that wow!
The Rover Trophy team headed to Amelia Island in Florida to share our craft at Amelia Island Concours D'Elegance.
Attendees "kicked the tires" at "Cars and Community" /RADwood on the weekend of March 5th - 6th. We brought 3 builds and everyone got to meet the team.
We introduced our Trophy Collection of Defenders at a cool event in April. We hosted at Autostrada, a stunning members club/classic car storage/event space in Westport CT. After plenty of BBQ/beer Jeff gave a short talk and provided commentary on the collection including juicy details on the first Tesla (M3 rear drive unit) powered D90. The event was a big hit for the local Land Rover crowd.
