History:
This Land Rover Series lll 109 long wheel base truck is a LHD example imported from Spain in 2018. Went through a full frame-off restoration at Rover Trophy's HQ in CT.
There is currently 160 miles on the newly rebuilt 300 TDi turbo diesel engine with an LT77 5 speed Manual Transmission / 2-Speed Transfer Case.
Safety Devices single cab Roll bar with custom support bar in the tub which doubles as a spare tire carrier. Front Runner roof rack lowered with custom mounting brackets.
Exterior Paint: is Flat Green with Bahama Gold accents. Interior: bespoke black with faux croc seat inserts and dash cover.
The truck is finished in Flat Green with bespoke black Gator Faux leather upholstery. The power comes from a newly installed 200TDi Turbo diesel paired with a newly rebuilt 5speed LT77 transmission and 2 Speed transfer case with updated Defender differentials to match the power train. Features include a heavy duty Safety Devices front Roll Cage combined with a custom cab cage with spare wheel rack and new 16” Land Rover MaxXtrac Mach 5 alloy wheels, new Insa Turbo Special track tires-235/85R16’s. alloy black chequer plate wing covers, ARB bull bar and Hella lighting package including short/long throw spots, fog and Luxeon LED driving, NAS style rear step/tow bar and a custom blue tooth stereo system with nautical all weather cannon speakers.
This Series III is now offered with full restoration and service documents with a clean CT title. The refurbishment included frame off restoration and repainting of the aluminum body panels in Glasoruit “flat green” with Satin Black capping, trim, roll cage, cab roof, bonnet and rear door. The Alloy wheels are painted Bahama Gold. The exterior Roll cage is a combination of a Safety Devices heavy duty Defender cage and a custom cage behind the cab that incorporates the spare tire. The Front Runner Roof Rack ties into the roll cage with custom brackets. The tub bed features a diamond plate floor with custom bench seats with matching black Gator trim. The tow bar is a NAS style rear step with Pintle hitch tow setup and tow lighting with aux battery relay. The stock deluxe bonnet features a custom hood scoop, off road axe, pick axe and shovel, ARB bull bar and Terrafirma winch, Luxeon headlights with LR grills, Hella Offroad Lighting package including matching short and long throw spotlights, fogs and work light. 2 extra fuel Jerry cans, custom storage box and later model Defender mirrors.
The interior cabin features stock Defender bucket seats and cubby -all with bespoke black with Faux Croc upholstery with matching dash and cabin accents. The speedometer shows 160 miles Replaced new with the restoration. The Land Rover binacle and gauges are complimented by a Bearcat 880 CB radio and custom Audio - NOAM 4 channel head unit with Amp (in the cubby) bluetooth controlled with NOAM quad outdoor bullet speakers and Hella work light. New Land Rover branded floor mats in the cabin.Defender 300TDi replaces the factory Diesel and received a full refresh. New crank and con rod bearings, piston rings, full engine gasket kit with head gasket, new head bolts, timing belt, idler and tensioner, TSeals, fuel lift pump, water pump, starter and new battery. All fluids changed. The transmission is a newly rebuilt LT 77 Defender gear box and transfer case. New exhaust, new brakes, rebuilt axles with new replacement parts
The frame and bulkhead condition is excellent (advantage of Southern Spain climate) and have been stripped and primed and painted. The suspension features new heavy duty Parabolics and sport OME shocks. The rear cross member was replaced. Multiple shots of the undercarriage are supplied in the gallery.
A one of a kind trailer built on a custom Land Rover Light Weight frame blasted and painted holds a Land Rover Series lll 88’ tub and rear axle. New Parabolics and OME shocks, matching rims and Inga track rubber with 2nd Spare on Swing away carrier. The trailer stopping power is hydraulic brakes, safety devices heavy duty Defender full roll cage mounted down to the frame. Pintle ring and custom 3rd wheel and 2 rear stabilizers. Custom add ons features include: A Roof Nest Sparrow XL tent, on board propane with stove, built in Jobox 3 drawer storage drawers with hidden safe stowage under the diamond plate false floor in the tub. Jerry Cans for fresh water, on board power with an aux battery with regenerative power connected to the truck with 12 volt access in the petrol filler location for appliances, includes a utility table, cooler and chairs.
